Posted this article on the news page, July 12,2022 and now the the news page is having difficulty loading.

Apparently, I struck a nerve with somebody or the school district.

This is the original article plus more data.

Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger.

BEST SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN OHIO

For all the parents that buy into this POSI for the schools.....here is your proof where Cleveland Heights stands.

WAKE up Cleveland Heights you are not in the top five or the top 100 school districts in Ohio.

Mayfield Heights landed at 31/100 and Shaker Heights landed at 43/100. Dang.

I have asked the property tax office, homeowners and businesses why are the taxes so high and they all say it's the school district, they are the best.....at what ?

All those high @@@ taxes we pay are not because of the school district.........it's something else.

The tax dollars are not covering the police force. Do you think the city would choose to pay teachers and fund a school over a police force?

Do the math?

As stated on another page, Harvard or the like are not knocking on doors in Cleveland Heights for your children to attend their prestigious universities.

Hire a tutor and leave the POSI school district.

Please tell your children where their school ranks in the state of Ohio. This is what happens when there is low attendance at the City Council meetings.

FYI: Basketball, football and other sports are not part of the rankings.

TOP SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN OHIO,2021

For the parents that are renting there is time to relocate to a top rated school district without a POSI.

For the parents that are homeowners you maybe in a pickle unless you have POSI POWER.

If I bought into a community for the public school district and later found out they were not in the top 100, I would look at the list, find a school district without a POSI and move my family into a proven top public school district.

Enough said.

All not EQUAL nor WELCOME!!!

OVERVIEW OF CLEVELAND HEIGHTS -UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS CITY

Ten schools with around 5,000 students and 80% are minority children, 71% of the 80% are children of Color. I will assume that the "majority children" are in private schools and home schools.

To understand where your child's education is ranked, take a look at Shaker Heights stats below.

Cleveland Heights

College readiness 23% with a 87% graduate.

I will guess about half of those student are recruited for sports.

Based on the teacher stats they are qualified and certified to teach.

Look at this mess. The district spends a little over $12 million on instructions , a little over $8 million support services and $454 million on other expenses.

I'm not an accountant but I think the big chunk of money should go to instructions/support services.

Other expenses usually adds up to a smaller amount, not a big chunk like this crap.

Compare the school budget to your household budget/bills. Your main bills are mortgage/rent, car note, insurance, utilities, food, clothing and other.

You don't place the big portion of your pay check in "other". Something is real, real wrong here.

I was under the assumption the property taxes were high because of this top rated school district. Now I'm blown away by the amount of money spent on the school district that's not in the top 100.

I have no children in this school district....I may have to start a Harriet Tubman movement to rescue the children.

In my educated opinion, the children are not being prepped for college, this is a bare bone basic education to become minimum wage workers, welfare queens and drug kings.

SHAKER HEIGHTS SCHOOL DISTRICT STATS

Eight schools 4600 plus students

71% tested at or above proficient level

49% college readiness

$11 million on instruction

$8 million on support services

$347 million on other expenses.

The same issue here with the funds "other" should be allocated with a name.

LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL EAST

What the flip is this here now, parents are paying for "C" grades in academics, teachers, college prep and diversity. Sports "A-" and clubs/activities "B".

Your selected private schools should look like Hathaway Brown "A" grade in academics, teachers, diversity, college prep, clubs/activities and sports.

My people, these are not the grades you should be paying for in a private school.

Check out the list in the Cleveland Heights area and see where your child's private schools rank. You might be surprised and demand a refund.
